WTF?
The 8bit Extravaganza is an absurd tribute the music of video games, typically in the form of remixes from places like ocremix.org or dod.vgmix.com
Goal:
The show hopes to bring back memories of times past, and have a ton of fun with it now.
Podcasts are available on our message board, which are the episodes from this summer.
History:
All in all we like to have fun, this show started on KUR two years ago and it's all about having fun each week we record Wednesday nights @ 9pm, and you can tune in via the chatroom which is here.
This Semester:
Our 16-bit Field of 64 tournament is starting up soon, and you can add the games you want in that tournament here. The winner in the tournament goes into our Hall of Fame with Contra, which won the first tournament of NES games.

Show Tonight: 1st show with students on campus, 16 bit tourney, oblivious retro review and much more!!
Tonight folks we will be recording @ 9pm as usual, but this will be a special show which will be heard by 1000s of unsuspecting college students idling in their dorm rooms flipping past channel 24. I'm excited.
Also, the 16 bit tourney anticipation is heating up, updates to follow on the show so stay tuned for that, and this show we are unveiling the "oblivious retro review" by Rob Pierce with the first review being a classic game for the SNES.

Contra Wins the Tournament!!
Contra takes home the title after some crazy controversy, a doperule, too many movie clips, and a coinflip that went down in history!!!!!

Tonight: Nerd Army Interview, Field of 64 finale, and much much more!!
Tonight is the culmination of the 8bit Field of 64, and we will determine the greatest NES game of all time.
Final 4: Super Mario Bros vs Contra & TMNT 2 vs Super Mario Bros 3
Jeff has submitted his logos, and they look bad-ass, vote on the official logo tonight as well!
We will also have a world wide exclusive interview with teh awesome band Nerd Army.
As usual the news of the week, picks of the week, and the typical craziness will descend down upon thee as history will be made TONIGHT!!
It all kicks off at 9pm EST, the global phenomenon continues:

Final 8 Review Spectacular in the books, next show 8/6
